Welcome to Our School

We are an inclusive church school, which promotes a Christian ethos, proud of our strong supportive family atmosphere. Inclusion is at the heart of our school’s values, all members of our community are valued and their achievements celebrated. We recognise that every member of our community has unique needs that need to be recognised, nurtured, allowed to grow and be celebrated.

We aim to provide the best education for all our pupils, encompassing all aspects of our Christian traditions and values, while at the same time respecting the beliefs of other faiths and cultures. We celebrate and promote diversity so that our pupils can become tolerant, sensitive and considerate citizens that will have the skills and qualities to thrive in today’s global community.

Our Vision

OUR VISION - is for everyone, children, staff and governors, to strive to fulfil the children’s ambition to ‘be the best that you can be’. (School Council 2016)

OUR VISION – is for a school that

  • keeps the child at  the heart of everything we do believing that every child is made in the image of God and is loved by him
  • is a learning organisation
  • believes in the importance of community
  • will equip children with the skills, qualities, values and beliefs they need to make a valued contribution to our democratic society and to lead happy, healthy and fulfilling lives
  • and will develop lively, enquiring, imaginative and creative minds with the ability to question, argue rationally and apply themselves to tasks.

Strategic Aims

Church School Values

Underpinning the ethos of our church school is the Fruit of the Holy Spirit.

Galatians 5:22-23New International Version (NIV)

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

We promote the nine fruits throughout our school: Faithfulness, gentleness, kindness, generosity, joy, patience, self control, peace and love.  These qualities are encouraged to be displayed by everyone in our school.  Each term we will focus on one particular fruit.
