PLEASE NOTE:

Some of the listed events may not go ahead if there is not enough interest. The events we will provide buses for are noted above therefore for the other events it may be that we need to request parent transport. Without enough transport we also may need to cancel events. Therefore, can I please ask that letter replies are returned promptly to allow smooth organisation of the events. For events held at schools (usually Vale) during the school day I'm afraid that parents are not allowed to go into the school, or therefore watch the event, as there is a safeguarding issue to manage so many visitors onsite. However if the event is being held after school time parents are more than welcome to watch but please beaware that there may be limited audience space if the event is a busy one!

Latest news

We have had a successful start to the year in terms of sport. We have held our annual intra-school cross country race. All children tried incredibly hard and should feel very proud of their achievement. We have also attended the first event of the year, our Brigg cluster KS2 cross country race at SJN. All teams from Year 3/4 and Year 5/6 performed amazingly well and we came back with several medals along with a sense of pride of every child's personal achievement. This event was open to all children in KS2 ad it was lovely to see lots of children taking up the opportunity. In school we have selected a 20-strong Sports Force from KS2 who will help lead games and encourage children to be active at playtime and lunch time. They have received their first training session from the Sports Partnership and we have held our first two monthly meetings in school.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all parents for their continued support with transport and support at these events. It means so much to the children to have you there.

Our trained Sports Force are responsible for leading games both at morning break time and lunch times, to encourage our children to be more physically active at these times.
