Latest news

The children enjoyed their summer term events. We started off with a bang with a double event at The Pods on the first day back - KS2 swimming gala and Year 3/4 Sportshall Atheltics. Both teams performed brilliantly and should be very proud of their achievements. The Sportshall Athletics team came 5th out of 14 teams and the swimmers came 2nd out of 12 teams - amazing!

The whole school enjoyed their second day of the It's Catching programme and it was lovely to see so many children having made progress in their catching skills since day 1. Keep up the good work.

All children in Year 5 and 6 took part in the North Lincolnshire Orienteering competition held in May at App Frod Sports Ground.

Children in both Year 3 and 4 and Year 5 and 6 enter the Quad Kids competition in June at Quibell Park. Both teams performed briliantly with the Year 3/4 team coming 4th out of 18 teams. A fantastic achievement.

Also in June we took 24 athletes to the EIS in Sheffield to compete in the North Lincolnshire Athletic Championships. The children all tried their best and came away as winners of the small schools competition. Amazing!

Finally, all children in KS1 attended an All Stars event at SJN and had the opportunity to try out different activities such as shuttle runs, the high stepper, speed bounce, vertical jump, long jump as well as bean bag and tennis ball throwing. The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves and many have shown promise for future athletic actviities as they enter KS2.
